Walking through fear - what a miracle! I was asked to prepare the voice of Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Witch of the West,) Judy Garland (Dorothy,) AND Dr. Ruth Westheimer all in the same week. I thought I'd NEVER be able to "get" these 1st 2 down! But, after talking w/ Bonnie I decided to let my agent decide whether to send me or not. I couldn't reach my agents - thank god - so I went. I did very well w/ M. Hamilton! I am gaining some more confidence in my god-given talents & abilities - I'm really a fantastic mimic. I've "got" Dorothy down cold. My agent called my machine (I wasn't home) & almost fell over 'cause of my impression of Dorothy that I put on my ans. machine! If I can only remember how good I am ...

VISUALIZATION

PRODUCT: Bay Street Restaurant

TYPE OF SCRIPT: Believable

CLIENT DIRECTION: Believeable & interesting

SENSE OF THE SPOT: To show the varieties of foods available & inexpensive, trendy

MY "PERSONALITY"/"CHARACTER": An executive who smokes - she's classy - wears business suits & is talking to her secretary - 32 / a valley girl - works in a jewelery store, talking very excitedly to her mom - 16

REMINDERS/CLUES: Smoke! Visualize my secretary & office - lower register / use hands - wearing lots of wild bangle-sparkly bracelets - fast! Play with hair.

FOLLOW-UP: Exec was too slow, sophisticated. Watch the energy level (that's what picks up the speed, too / would be applicable for young secretary - try an older voice. Do your best one first - the val would've been it.
